How does booking through RoamWeek work?

You search here and finish with the partner. Set your route, dates and party size on our search, compare what comes back, then continue to the airline or booking partner to pay and get your confirmation. Your whole search travels with you. The origin, destination, both dates and the number of travellers all arrive prefilled, so you land on live availability for your trip rather than on an empty form. Nothing needs typing twice. That is the same model every comparison site runs on. We are the part that finds and compares; the partner is the part that sells the seat or the room and looks after it afterwards.

Does booking through RoamWeek cost more?

No. You pay the partner exactly what you would pay going to them directly. There is no RoamWeek booking fee, no markup and no service charge, and there never will be. We are paid a commission by the partner when a booking completes, which comes out of their margin and not out of your fare. That is how the search, the price calendar and every destination guide stay free to use. It also means our interests line up with yours. We are paid when you actually travel, so sending you to a fare that turns out to be wrong earns us nothing.

Who will I actually book with?

Flights go to Aviasales, which searches hundreds of airlines and agencies and shows you the current fare and conditions. Hotels go to Booking.com. Activities, tours and tickets go to GetYourGuide. They are established companies with their own support, their own payment security and their own cancellation policies. You are booking with a name you already know, not with a reseller you have never heard of.

What do the flight prices on your pages mean?

They are real fares found by real searches in the last few days, cached so a page can load instantly instead of making you wait for a live search. They are a reliable guide to what a route costs. The number that counts is the one the partner shows at checkout, because airlines reprice continuously against how full the aircraft already is. If the fare has moved, the price calendar on the flights page is worth a look before you book: shifting a departure by a day or two is often a bigger saving than any amount of searching on one date.

Who looks after my booking once I have paid?

The partner you booked with. They took the payment, issued the ticket or reservation, and hold the record, so changes, cancellations and refunds are theirs to make under the terms you accepted at their checkout. Your confirmation email is the fastest route to them. It carries your booking reference and their support contact. Search your inbox for the reference rather than for RoamWeek, because the booking is not held here and we cannot look it up. This is normal for a comparison site and it is worth knowing before you need it, not after.

I did not get a confirmation email

Check spam first, then search for the partner's name rather than ours. Confirmations are sent by whoever took the payment, at the moment the booking completes. If nothing arrives from anyone, the booking most likely did not go through. Look for a pending charge from the partner and contact them before booking again, so you do not end up paying twice for the same seat.

Can you help me pick the right option?

Yes, gladly. Choosing between two routings, working out whether a connection is worth the saving, deciding which neighbourhood to stay in, or whether a fare looks wrong, are all things worth asking about. Tell us the route or the place and roughly when you are going. We reply within 24 hours.

What actually costs money?

Accepted Answer

Only AI trip planning. Searching flights, hotels and activities is free, and so is every destination guide on the site. You are never asked to pay to see a price or to read an itinerary. Plans come as one off packs of ten or thirty, which never expire, or as an unlimited subscription monthly or yearly. The yearly plan is priced so a year costs the same as ten months.

How do I cancel my subscription?

From the billing page in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and nothing else. Your subscription keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and your saved trips stay where they are. You do not need to write to us to cancel, and we will not ask you why.

Question 10

Can I change my mind after buying?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You have 14 calendar days from the purchase to withdraw without giving a reason, under Article L221-18 of the Code de la consommation. We did not ask you to sign that right away up front, which some sellers of digital services do. Trip plans you have not used are refundable in full inside those 14 days, at the price you paid. A plan you have already spent is not, because pressing generate is a request for immediate delivery and the itinerary is produced and delivered within seconds of asking. Tell us by any clear statement that you are withdrawing. We refund by the same means you paid, within 14 days of being told.

My payment failed or my card was declined

The charge is handled by Stripe and card numbers never reach us, so a decline is between your bank and Stripe. The usual causes are an expired card, a country block, or a bank asking for confirmation that was not completed. Update the card on your billing page and try again. If it keeps failing, your bank can tell you why in a way we cannot see.

Where is my receipt?

Stripe emails it at the moment of purchase, and that email is your copy of the order. It goes to the address on your account. If it is not in your inbox, check spam first, then write to us with the email address you used and we will find the purchase.

Question 13

What happens to my trips if I stop paying?

Accepted Answer

They stay. Trips you have already generated remain saved, viewable and exportable after a subscription ends. What stops is the ability to generate new ones. Deleting your account is the only thing that removes them, and that is deliberate and irreversible. Unused trip plans are lost when you delete the account, so if you are inside the 14 days, ask for the refund before deleting.

I cannot sign in

Accepted Answer

Use the reset link on the login page. It sends a message to the address on your account with a link that sets a new password. The link is single use and expires, so ask for a fresh one rather than reusing an old email. If the reset email does not arrive, check spam, then confirm you are using the address you registered with. Write to us if it still does not come.

Question 15

How do I change my travel preferences?

On your profile page. The questions asked at signup set the starting point for every itinerary we generate, and all of them can be changed later. Pace, interests, budget and diet all feed the planner directly. Changing them affects new itineraries. Trips you already generated are left exactly as they were, because rewriting a saved plan underneath you would be worse than leaving it.

Can I change my profile picture?

Yes, from your profile page. The image is cropped square and resized in your browser before it is uploaded, which also strips the location data that phone photos carry. A photo taken at home does not publish your address.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time and without asking us. The data and privacy page exports everything held against your account as a file you can keep, which covers your right of access and to portability under the GDPR.

Question 18

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

From the data and privacy page. Deletion removes your profile, trips, activities, travel history, remaining plan balance and usage records, and any trip you had shared stops being reachable. None of it can be recovered. Records of payments are kept in anonymised form because accounting rules require it. The privacy policy sets out exactly what that means.
