Jordan trip planning begins with a purchase, not a map. The official Jordan Pass, at 70 to 80 dinars for 1 to 3 Petra days, bundles over 40 sites and waives the tourist visa fee if bought before arrival with at least 2 nights in the country. Do that sum once and the itinerary almost writes itself: Amman as the gateway, Petra as the centre of gravity, Wadi Rum for a night under canvas or stars, and the Dead Sea as the float on the way back.
