Georgia itineraries by trip length

Almost every first Georgia trip resolves into the same triangle: Tbilisi, the mountains at Kazbegi, and the wine country east at Signagi. It works because the three are genuinely different and none is more than a few hours from the others. The catch is at the far end, where Kazbegi has no taxi rank and you hire a local driver or you walk.

Which Georgia itinerary should you pick?

The 7 day route, which covers the Tbilisi, Kazbegi and Kakheti triangle with 2 nights in the mountains rather than 1.

Five days works if you drop the wine country. Anything longer than a week and the honest answer is to add Svaneti, which is a separate journey rather than an extension.

What we checked

Why this page exists. Every RoamWeek page has to say something true of it and false of its siblings. For Georgia that is the question of how long to stay, which the duration pages below answer one length at a time.
