Bosnia itineraries by trip length

Last updated . Transport, entry and booking details can change. Check the named official sources before travel.

Bosnia is unusually cheap and unusually easy to move around, and the one thing that reliably goes wrong is money. Buses take cash and only cash, including the airport bus, and the fare is small enough that arriving with a card and nothing else is a genuine problem rather than an inconvenience.

Which Bosnia itinerary should you pick?

The 5 day route, split as 3 nights in Sarajevo and 2 in Mostar, which is the division most recent visitors land on.

Mostar is small and a single night covers the bridge and the old town, but a second lets you reach Kravica or Blagaj without rushing. Sarajevo is where the extra days pay off.

What we checked

Why this page exists. Every RoamWeek page has to say something true of it and false of its siblings. For Bosnia that is the question of how long to stay, which the duration pages below answer one length at a time.
